Those artists were from different dynasties during Chinese history, Different from other Cave Frescos in China, most of the Dunhuang artists were not hired or paid by any ancient Chinese governments. Those artists spend their whole lifetime on drawing the frescos initiatively without leaving a name. The merely spiritual pillar for them is the faith of beauty.
